When should I do a patch test?Updated 12 hours ago

We recommend performing a patch test before incorporating any new product into your routine. A patch test helps you quickly determine if a product is suitable for your skin and to avoid an adverse reaction.

We particularly recommend patch testing any products with a high potency - such as Super C Ferulic and Surface Radiance Cleanse.

1. Select a small, discreet area of skin, such as the inner forearm or behind the ear. These areas are sensitive enough to detect a reaction but easy to cover if one occurs.

2. Apply a small amount of the product (about the size of a pea) to the chosen area.

  • For wash-off products (cleansers, masks): leave on for the recommended usage time and then rinse off.

  • For leave-on products (serums, moisturisers): rub it in gently and leave it alone.

3. Most reactions occur within 24 hours, but delayed reactions can take up to 48 hours. Keep the area dry and uncovered, do not wash the area for at least 24 hours (unless it is a wash-off product).
